What's On
The Menu: Our Culinary Delights

"If
more of us valued food and cheer and
song above hoarded gold,
it would be a merrier world."
~ J.R.R. Tolkien (1892-1973)
Featured in the
photograph are Joan's renowned
homemade tomato basil soup and Gil's
hummus. Yum! Rounding out this recent
summer Sunday brunch spread are juicy
garden tomatoes with a taste as
bright as their color, homemade
mini-French bread slices, and
refreshing peach iced tea. Not shown:
the cobbler and brownies that were on
the dessert menu that day. You'll
just have to come in and taste for
yourself. (If you're really lucky,
we'll have our special "bread
pudding with a twist" or Joan's
incredible "cake balls"
when you visit. You never know!)
Our menu varies, but
we always use the freshest
ingredients from our gardens and the
local markets. Seasonal herbs add a
savory dimension to our homemade
soups, salads, and quiches, and if
you visit at the right time of year,
edible flowers from our garden add a
splash of color, fragrance and beauty
(they're almost too pretty to eat,
but don't let that stop you).
